The Parable of the Doe and the Crow- Video

The Parable of the Doe and the Crow is a collaborative piece by myself and Dasha Kurbatova. The story follows a lost spirit- a doe- frantically attempting to fill the grief-stricken void that the loss of her child has torn in her heart. In frustration, the makeshift totem of motherhood is violently destroyed. She is drowned in sorrow and guilt before finally accepting death. It is only upon seeing the eyes of death itself that she accepts that is was her life that was lost, and her baby remained in the land of the living. To move on through the afterlife, she must accept her death and let go of her child. The psychopomp guides her onwards, and the circle of life and death keeps turning.
